Vera Answers LLC ("Vera", "we", "us", or "our") operates an AI-powered virtual receptionist service for home service businesses. Our website is veraanswers.com.

2. Information We Collect

From service companies (our customers): Business name, service type, email address, password, phone number preferences, and schedule configuration.

From callers (end users): When a customer calls a Vera-powered phone number, Vera collects the caller's name, phone number, service address, and a description of the service request. This information is provided voluntarily by the caller during the inbound call.

Call recordings: Calls may be recorded for quality assurance and for providing the call recording to the service company. Callers are notified at the start of each call.

3. How We Collect Consent (SMS Opt-In)

When a caller contacts a service company through Vera, they provide their phone number verbally during the inbound call. By providing their phone number, callers consent to receive a single SMS confirmation message regarding their service request. This message includes the job details captured during the call.

Callers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Vera virtual receptionist service
  • Send SMS confirmations to callers regarding their service requests
  • Notify service companies of new job intake
  • Improve the accuracy and performance of our AI assistant
  • Comply with legal obligations

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

  • The service company: Caller intake details are shared with the service company the caller contacted.
  • Service providers: We use Twilio for phone and SMS services, Vapi for voice AI, and Supabase for data storage. These providers process data on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain call records and job intake data for as long as the service company maintains an active account. Service companies may request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data storage, secure API communications (HTTPS), and hashed passwords. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
